I went to the doctor today. No worries, I just went to have my womanly bits checked and discuss the fact that I want babies in the near future. Things are looking good so far. I asked for a prescription for prenatal vitamins and he told me I'm smart for getting ready in advance. :)
I told him about the bruises I've been getting and he told me that we'd get some blood drawn and do a blood count to be sure that my iron and platelets are fine. I'm not really concerned but it's better to be safe... Plus I promised Branden that I'd talk to the doctor. :P
The nurse was going to draw my blood so she looked at both of my arms and said, "Great, you don't have any veins." I assured her that yes, I do, you can see them all over on my thighs... She didn't think I was as funny as I thought I was. She then proceeded to show me what a "normal arm" WITH VEINS looks like. As it turns out, I don't have veins and she poked me at random once then gave up. I guess I have to go back tomorrow or sometime next week before 5 to get poked by the pro-vein-poker. I can already see how this is going to affect the rest of my life. My only consolation will be that I have very pretty arms. :)
