Not A Great Weekend

I'm a little frustrated right now. The annoying thing is, I don't really know why. Or I do, but I don't know why it's frustrating me so much.

We had to take everything off the laundry room shelf today and it's all over the kitchen. The laundry room is a mess, the kitchen is a mess... And it's making me frustrated. The obvious answer would be to clean it all up, but we're not done in the laundry room. So I'm frustrated because I'm making dinner in a messy kitchen. And I'm frustrated because it's a dinner I don't want to make... But Branden asked for it and I don't have any other answers for dinner so I'm making it.

Maybe I'm just in a not good mood. Things haven't worked the way they were planned this weekend. Rick and Abby's party went well on Friday. In fact, everyone seemed to really like my cheesecake and Rick took the leftovers home to enjoy later. The cookie dip also went over pretty well. We had a great time talking to everyone and playing games. So that part of the weekend went well.

Branden had a birthday get-together planned for me yesterday. It was supposed to be a surprise but... He had to tell me because there were scheduling conflicts. And then everyone bailed. Every single one of my best friends found excuses to not be there. I'm moving in two months and not one person found the time to be there for my last birthday get-together here with friends. I told Katie to go to the other party so that was my doing and I can't hold that against her. Branden and I went out to dinner last night instead. It was a good night out, but both of us are frustrated with what happened.

Then today we had laundry issues which are mostly resolved, but not totally. And as I was getting laundry started I realized that I forgot to buy the laundry soap when I went to Wal-Mart on Friday, which was the reason I decided that I HAD to go to Wal-Mart when I did. So half-way through our TEN LOADS of laundry- thanks for that, Branden- I ran out of laundry soap. Yeah, I'm not in a great mood.
