My work has mini bagels on sale for $2.99 a package this week. Today a lady threw a fit because there was a 2/$6.00 sticker on one of the packages and she felt we weren't honoring that price when her bagels rang in at $2.99... She wanted her bagels to ring up as 2/$6.00 INSTEAD OF $2.99! Does anyone else see the problem here?
2/$6.00 equals $3.00 a package but when the bagels rang up at $2.99 she felt we weren't being fair to her. She WANTED to pay a penny more and we were ripping her off by not letting her pay that extra penny. Somehow, I don't think she actually did all that well in math.
